In 2024, Skylark partnered with Portland Thorns FC to develop and execute a comprehensive marketing, PR, and fan engagement strategy for a season packed with historic moments. 

Skylark sought to increase engagement, awareness and brand affinity for the Dynamo while driving revenue and relevance in the Houston community and beyond.

Skylark worked with Dynamo staff and led the planning and development of an integrated campaign building to Herrera’s first appearance with the club. Through Skylark’s assistance the Dynamo created record revenue and attendance, owned the conversation in Houston through effective planning and put the club in position for long-term success with community-based events, elevated storytelling and renewed purpose.

Skylark and Houston Dynamo FC collaborated to build a campaign that utilized the team’s signing of Mexican national team captain Héctor Herrera to showcase the club as a regional powerhouse and standard-bearer of excellence in Major League Soccer.

Launching the Wave’s First Unique Jersey

The Wave turned to Skylark to help maximize a unique moment in their third season, unveiling their first fully bespoke Nike jersey, designed solely for the club. Skylark oversaw creative development and execution of the club’s content capture and media day, capturing all creative content for the year, as well as crafting the marketing strategy to capitalize on this huge event.

Skylark worked closely with Wave FC to execute a 360 marketing campaign to launch the jersey and build excitement and interest for the club’s 2024 season. Through unique community events, compelling social media content and impactful sponsorship integration, Skylark helped to generate record jersey sales for the club and draw a record crowd of more than 32,000 at the club’s home opener.

Skylark partnered with the San Diego Wave to lead creative development and execution on the club’s 2024 Media Day. 

As part of a multi-faceted David Beckham statue project, the LA Galaxy worked with James Corden and the Late Late Show to put together a piece of content that would help tell the story of the newly sculpted Beckham Statue that was soon to be the signature piece of art at the front of Dignity Health Sports Park.

The concept was pitched and discussed directly with James Corden. Once Beckham’s team was on board, the LA Galaxy, the Late Late Show and David Beckham’s support team worked to craft one of the most watched pranks in television history. All involved went at great lengths to construct a replica statue, off-kilter celebration video and a staged “statue unveiling” complete with actors and misnomers. The prank has been viewed 50 million times on YouTube and was shared across millions of social platforms while garnering traditional media and engagement for the official statue unveiling.

The launch day began with a national media conference call featuring team ownership, securing top-tier placements such as a front-page feature in the

The day continued with a VIP reception attended by community leaders and capped off with a fan rally that drew more than 2,000 fans eager to celebrate their new club.

Skylark’s strategic approach generated remarkable results. The newly launched DenverNWSL.com, featuring full Shopify integration, drove 6,500 season ticket deposits in under a week—an NWSL record for the fastest expansion franchise to surpass 5,000 deposits. The deposit campaign generated more than $341,000 in revenue, setting the stage for a successful inaugural season.

Widespread Media Coverage and Digital Impact

The launch generated 200+ media stories in 48 hours, with coverage from 

, resulting in over 1 billion total impressions. On social media, more than 132 posts across major platforms garnered 25M+ potential views, with collaborations from the Colorado Rockies, Denver Nuggets, Colorado Rapids, and NWSL amplifying the announcement.

Engaging the Community and Creating a Buzz

To amplify local excitement, iconic Denver landmarks—including Union Station, Millennium Bridge, and the City and County Building—were illuminated in the club’s pine green color. Skylark also partnered with nine local, women-owned businesses to host celebratory events, creating a network of community support that showcased the inclusive spirit of the new club.

A custom launch hype video led the announcement, complemented by unique event imagery and media assets shared with local and national outlets.  The NWSL has awarded Denver, Colorado the league’s 16th franchise, set to play in 2026. 🏔️

Skylark collaborated with the leadership of Denver NWSL and creative partners at Wunder Werkz to deliver a comprehensive launch for the National Women’s Soccer League’s newest expansion franchise.

With the picturesque setting of the pacific northwest as a backdrop, Skylark partnered with Capelli Sport to capture video and photography for Valor Soccer’s new 2025 kit release.

The press conference was held at GALS Denver, an all-girls public school whose mission of leadership and empowerment mirrored the significance of the day. Denver NWSL and Denver Mayor Mike Johnston Unveil Historic Plans to Build Purpose-Built Stadium.   The event was held at GALS Denver, an all-girls Denver Public School dedicated to empowering young women through movement, leadership, and academic excellence. The press conference featured Mayor Mike Johnston, Rob Cohen, NWSL's Sarah Jones Simmer, Councilwoman Flor Alvidrez, and Jason Wright. 

Skylark partnered helped launch one of the most significant milestones in professional women’s sports: the announcement of the largest ever overall investment in a women’s professional sports team with new stadium district in Denver’s urban core.

Skylark partnered with Denver Summit FC to announce the development of a state-of-the-art performance center and a purpose-built temporary stadium in Centennial, Colorado. This initiative underscores the club's commitment to providing top-tier facilities for professional women's soccer and fostering community engagement.

Strategic Collaboration for Community Impact

In collaboration with the City of Centennial and the Cherry Creek School District (CCSD), Denver NWSL unveiled plans for a 43-acre complex featuring:

: A 20,000-square-foot training facility tailored for professional female athletes, emphasizing cutting-edge recovery technologies and holistic treatments.

: A 12,000-seat venue to host Denver NWSL's home games for the 2026 and 2027 NWSL seasons. Post-2027, the stadium will be reconfigured to a 4,000-seat facility for CCSD's use, benefiting thousands of students and families.​

The World Cup Trophy Tour created a once-in-a-lifetime moment for cricket fans in the Pacific Northwest — and an opportunity to grow the sport’s presence in the region.



Staging a Global Symbol at an Iconic Landmark

 Skylark coordinated with Seattle’s iconic Space Needle to host a PR and media moment featuring ICC dignitaries, Seattle Orcas ownership, Seattle’s mayor, and U.S. international cricketer Harmeet Singh. The trophy’s appearance high above the city skyline offered an unforgettable photo op and media opportunity that tied local pride to the global cricket stage.

 Alongside the ICC and Seattle Orcas, Skylark helped organize a fan-facing event at Bellevue Downtown Park. More than 1,000 fans came out to see the trophy in person, engage with players, and celebrate the upcoming tournament. The event generated major social media coverage — including photo and video features on ICC channels, which reach over 30 million followers — and boosted local awareness of cricket, Major League Cricket, and the World Cup itself.

A Global Moment, Local Impact: The T-20 World Cup Trophy Visits Seattle

The NWSL partnered with Skylark to create a high-impact activation that would generate cultural buzz and elevate the league’s visibility. The Swarovski crystal-encrusted soccer ball, created in collaboration with the women-owned company Beyond Diamonds, was showcased at select matches throughout the NWSL season kickoff. Skylark oversaw the creative development and execution of the campaign, managing media outreach, player and influencer engagement, and game-day activations while crafting a marketing strategy that maximized the visibility of the tour.

Skylark worked closely with NWSL to implement a comprehensive marketing campaign that integrated the Crystallized Ball into the league’s season opener, beginning in Kansas City and culminating in Washington, D.C. The tour, which also made a stop in Los Angeles, attracted significant media attention and fan engagement. Each game featured standout activations, including celebrity appearances, on-site photo opportunities, and social media coverage that boosted fan awareness and excitement for the NWSL season.

With more than 700 fans in attendance, the entire San Diego Wave team appeared at the rally to pump up the crowd leading into the 2024 season. The event was part of the club’s “Make Waves” campaign around the record-breaking Del Sol jersey launch. Skylark oversaw event operations, leading venue and vendor selection, managing operations and staff, producing the rundown and coordinating talent with the client.

Skylark brought Denver Summit FC’s new identity to life through a suite of assets for the brand launch, including promotional and sponsor-integrated assets, and large-scale event visuals.

To tell the Brand Launch story across the club’s owned and operated channels, Skylark developed and executed a multi-platform content plan, anchored by a campaign launch video and bolstered by social content, real-time event coverage, and media-ready photo and video assets.

As Major League Cricket expanded its reach in the U.S., the Seattle Orcas looked to create a deeper connection with fans—and they turned to Skylark to make it happen. The mission: bring to life the league’s first full-fledged mascots. Enter Yorka and Ms. Yorka.

Skylark led project management for the mascot launch, guiding the process from concept to debut. From screening and selecting vendor partners to shaping the final look and feel, Skylark ensured the mascots captured the quirky, community-driven energy of the Orcas brand.

 The result was historic: Yorka and Ms. Yorka became the first official mascots in Major League Cricket—and the first ever for a U.S. cricket team. Whether high-fiving kids at matches or dancing on the dugouts, they created a fun, memorable experience that deepened fan engagement and gave the Orcas another voice in the crowd.

For the 2024 ICC Men’s T20 World Cup, Skylark teamed up with the ICC and Seattle Orcas to deliver a first-of-its-kind experience for Pacific Northwest fans. As India and Pakistan faced off in one of the most anticipated matches in global sport, Skylark brought the action to life at Seattle Center — just steps from the Space Needle.

This was the only official watch party on the West Coast, and it delivered. More than 2,000 cricket fans gathered in the heart of Seattle to witness the matchup as part of the 1 billion+ global audience. Skylark handled end-to-end event planning and production, from securing the venue to managing all vendor logistics and liaising with broadcast rights holders to stream the match live.

 The event was more than a watch party — it was a full fan festival. Live entertainment, giveaways, and cricket demonstrations via the Seattle Orcas’ “Cricket-In-A-Box” program kept the crowd energized throughout. Partnering with the Indian Consulate and local cultural groups added authentic community flavor, making the event a powerful expression of Seattle’s growing cricket culture.

The Biggest Rivalry in World Cricket Hits the Pacific Northwest


Skylark partnered with the WNBA and franchise ownership to lead the launch event for Portland’s new professional women’s basketball team — marking the league’s return to the city after more than two decades. The day-long celebration at Moda Center served as both a formal announcement and an invitation for the community to rally around the future of women’s sports in Portland.

The launch kicked off with a press conference held on the Moda Center court, featuring the WNBA Commissioner, ownership group leaders, and local elected officials. Skylark oversaw all aspects of the event, from venue coordination to vendor management, ensuring every detail of the experience reflected the energy and ambition of the franchise’s next chapter.

Following the announcement, Skylark helped stage a basketball clinic for local girls, turning inspiration into action. The day wrapped with a block party that brought out fans from across the city, complete with local vendors, food, music, and interactive experiences. Skylark helped facilitate partnerships with The Sports Bra, Voodoo Doughnuts and Deadstock Coffee.
