U.S. Soccer engaged Skylark to assist with high-profile PR opportunities across sports and lifestyle outlets; manage a deep-dive research project to highlight the U.S. Men’s National Team and reinforce media opportunities during the World Cup; and build a sustainable influencer program that could be utilized across the Federation in the near and long term.

The collaboration between Skylark and U.S. Soccer resulted in media placement with GQ and Sports Illustrated, LeBron James and other NBA stars wearing the USMNT jersey and record viewership and earned media for the USMNT during the World Cup.

The campaign included:

  • Crafting and managing PR relationships with players and outlets
  • Building unique touch points for influencer relationships during World Cup
  • Executing USMNT Nike jersey launch through influencer placement before and during the 2022 FIFA World Cup
  • Researching and developing unique pitches and storytelling opportunities for players
