For Denver FC

Skylark collaborated with a group of investors and community leaders to launch an effort to a bring professional women’s soccer team to Denver called For Denver FC. In partnership with FDFC’s founders, Skylark crafted a plan and strategy to maximize the opportunities around the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup to drive brand awareness and fan acquisition while generating positive local and national media coverage for the start-up organization.

As part of For Denver FC’s effort to engage with the huge women’s soccer fan base in the Mile High City, Skylark planned and executed a launch event and watch party for the U.S. Women’s National Team’s opening World Cup match. The event was attended by more than 1000 fans and showcased the passion and support for women’s professional soccer in Denver. 

Skylark built and oversaw a PR strategy that generated local and national media coverage for FDFC. Major outlets like the Athletic, the Denver Post, Equalizer Soccer, ESPN, NBC and the Denver Gazette covered the club’s launch for a potential audience of millions. 

Skylark collaborated with WunderWerkz to develop the For Denver FC’s brand identity and visual direction. Skylark sourced and designed FDFC merchandise and swag that was distributed throughout the Denver community.

In conjunction with the campaign, Skylark launched FDFC’s presence on all social media platforms. The social media launch included video content from USWNT national team captain Lindsey Horan as well as engaging graphics and video event recaps. Skylark also worked with web developers to create an engaging For Denver FC website that provided fans a way to get involved with the FDFC movement and drive attendance to the organization’s events.

Through the For Denver FC launch, Skylark helped to show the world Denver is the perfect city for the next first division professional women’s soccer team. The FDFC launch helped generate investor interest as well as create a new fan base for the club.
